2012 Breeding Pairs (updated 12-20-11)
Here are my breeding pairs for 2012. I had a goal of getting to 16 pairs and I did it!! Well, I came very close - technically there are 17 pairs, but I am actually at 16 pairs as one of the pairs is a pair that I didn't plan on having. You see my good friend Noel Certain of Certain Lofts bought a cock from my NRPL Fundraising Auction and then called me and said "Joe, I bought the bird for you. The money I donated to the Chordoma Foundation." WOW! That was a very kind and generous thing to do as the bird I donated to my late daughter's fundraiser went for several thousand dollars. Very humbling to have friends like Noel. Noel didn't want to tell anyone that he did this, but this is my website so I can put whatever I want on it!! I do want to publicly thank all those that donated birds, money and or purchased birds from the NRPL Chordoma Fundraiser...the fundraiser was very successful and it is certainly very humbling and encouraging to see all those who participated!
This is always the most exciting time of year for me - dreaming about the next generation and how much better they are going to be than the past generation. The reality is that this is rarely the case, but this is what keeps us excited about this game of ours!!

NOTE: I will say it again - the Pair #1's have NOTHING to do with a ranking. It is simply how I started laying them out on my spreadsheet. Every year I get people saying "how can you rank this pair above that pair?" Again, these are not rankings!!
