Jo & Florian Hendriks - NL
In the Fall of 2009, I purchased a group of late round 2010 Youngsters off one of the hottest lofts in all of Holland. I started reading about the Hendriks' successes a couple years ago on several websites and started to review the race results on the Internet for NPO National races and Overall National races and consistently saw their name at the top of the sheet...more importantly I saw that they were consistently putting a high percentage of their birds in the top. I then recently read this in an article in a Dutch Pigeon Magazine from 2007:

Florian Hendriks is the youngest champion that we introduce. But he is certainly not the dumbest. Very few are so well informed about good pigeons than he is and good pigeons is where he is after. He started hunting and buying youngsters, brothers or sisters of the very best pigeons in Belgium and Holland about 5 years ago and only 3 years later the whole province of Limburg knew his name. A striking thing about this young man is also that he knows how to grade pedigrees. The origin is important but no more than that.Late 2006 we were discussing a pair of 2004 birds that were off a very famous breeder. He had paid good money for them and the birds were nice.
But… since he was not happy with the few babies he had off them they could move and did not get a second chance. Florian wants super birds only; he imported off spring of super birds only and has little patience. The birds he got should produce winners real soon or… Now he is already the man to be beaten and we would not be surprised if he will hardly be beatable in a real near future.

After reading this -- it is my same philosphy -- and reviewing more and more results on the NPO website I was convinced the Hendriks were as good as I thought they were. I contacted Florian and started asking about buying 2010 late summer youngsters off their best pairs. We now have come to an agreement, I put down a deposit and now I will be getting the following youngsters in Sept./Oct. of 2010.
UPDATE: The youngster below are the birds I purchased and they are in quarantine as of 7/22/10. Very excited to get them!!!
